Kids in the landscape

There has been a trend gathering pace over the last few years towards the creation of deconstructed playspaces for kids rather than the traditional swing/slide/climbing frame set piece playgrounds. The advantage of these spaces, their aesthetic appeal aside, is that they make kids work for their play, they have to engage their minds and work together to create games and solve challenges.

What is a tree worth

‘I think I shall never see a poem as lovely as a tree...’ Unfortunately not everyone feels the same and I regularly encounter clients who for one reason or another have taken a dislike to a tree and want it removed. To be fair they often have good reasons, it might be one that is too close the house, a rampant weed or just very, very ugly. However many times the reasons are less compelling such as wanting to increase viewing opportunities, reclaim space or the specimen in question might be a little ugly.

Don't skimp on product

Often in jobs cleints get to the end and start looking ways to save money. One of the first items to be cut from the list is good product.  By product I mean furniture, planters, light fittings etc. They all say ‘we’ll buy it later’ and yet they never do because the momenetum is lost and people get used to living with the ‘stop gap’ cheaper alternative in the meantime.

Decorative Lighting
